Annual suitability review  



I thought I'd start a conversation about this as it seems to be a struggle and maybe there are ways to improve this and target review services at those who really need them and devise something more user friendly for those who don't want an annual meeting/conversation.




I agree there are plenty of opportunities to make ongoing client meetings more engaging and valuable for all sides. My first reaction to your post was the language around ‘annual suitability review’. For me suitability is linked to product which shouldn’t be the focus of a financial plan, the product serves the plan which should be focused on delivering the lifestyle the client(s) want. If the annual planning meetings focus on delivering the clients goals (which are more powerful in their language) and discussing the options over live Cashflow modelling they can be compelling.
