Financial Planning and Protection

In 1990, my Dad died when I was 10. It was painful for all of us and still is, a kind thoughtful man who we still miss every day. The fact that Dad had the prudence to invest in a lot of life cover meant that we could concentrate on our emotional loss rather than how we were going to fund life without him.

I think, the fact he had a lot of life cover genuinely helped him too, knowing money wouldn’t be an issue for us and he had done what he could. It was more than just ‘one less thing to worry about’. The final love letter was the policy document. Of course, his legacy goes on in many other ways, he was a remarkable person and someone who demonstrated that it isn’t the time we have on the planet that counts, but what we do with it!

I had no idea what life insurance was then. I do now, and I HOPE anyone with a young family has more than they think they need.

This is why I’ve created this webinar, to make sure protection plays a key role early on in financial planning and is not something we put off until the next review meeting.

Learning objectives, what I will cover:

  • The protection market and the urgent need – some statistics about how under insured clients can be from Royal London
  • The added costs of illness
  • It DOES pay out
  • Are you holistic? If you are not talking about protection with a client/prospect, you are not
  • How I sell the benefit of protection
  • How to give clients Clarity, Comprehension, Choice, Control and Confidence.
