The five Consumer Outcomes POWER Planning seeks to deliver are: Clarity, Connection, Choice, Control and Confidence. Underpinning the achievement of these outcomes is a consumer-focused approach to financial planning.

Being consumer focused puts the client at the centre of your personal financial planning service. The client’s best interests at its heart. But this does not mean just giving clients what they want. Often what a client wants may not be in their best interests. Helping clients work out what they really need, and how they want to live their life demands key human skills of a personal finance professional.

Core to this is a coaching approach that recognises clients are the experts in their own lives, but they often need help to unpack the questions they have about life and money. This does not require financial planning professionals to become coaches, but rather to work with a Coaching Way of Being. This webinar looks at why adopting a Coaching Way of Being is vital to consumer-focused financial planning.
